E-Clip

E-Clip, also known as E-Type Retaining Ring, E-Ring, External Retaining Clip, Shaft E-Clip, Retaining Washer or DIN 6799 E-Clip, is a small retaining component used to hold parts in position on shafts, pins, axles and grooves.

Unlike a screw or nut, an E-Clip does not use thread. It is installed radially into a groove on a shaft or pin. Once installed, the E-shaped clip helps retain washers, gears, rollers, levers, linkages, spacers, wheels and other components from sliding off the shaft.

E-Clips are commonly used in machinery, automotive-light assemblies, small motors, linkages, shafts, pins, rollers, hinges, appliances, tools, fixtures, equipment repair and general industrial maintenance applications. They are useful when a compact, low-cost and removable retaining method is required.

Why Choose Our E-Clip

Choosing the correct E-Clip is important for shaft retention, groove fitment, spring force, corrosion resistance and long-term assembly reliability. The clip should match the shaft diameter, groove size, material, installation clearance, axial load and working environment.

Spring Steel E-Clip is a practical option for general machinery, shafts, pins, rollers, linkages, small motors, tools, appliances, equipment repair and industrial maintenance applications. Stainless Steel 304 (A2) E-Clip is suitable when better corrosion resistance, cleaner appearance and stainless steel material compatibility are required.

The main advantage of an E-Clip is fast radial installation. It can be installed into a groove from the side of the shaft, which makes it useful when there is limited access at the end of the shaft. It also saves space compared with some threaded locking methods.

E-Clips are commonly used to prevent components from moving axially along a shaft. They are suitable for retaining washers, gears, rollers, wheels, spacers, levers, pins and small mechanical components. Because they are removable, they are useful for equipment that may require future maintenance or replacement.

For best performance, the shaft groove should be machined correctly and the clip should match the groove specification. Over-spreading, wrong size selection or poor groove design may reduce retaining performance. For high-speed, high-load, safety-related or critical assemblies, groove design, clip size, material and retention load should be checked by a qualified person or project specification.

We supply E-Clip for machinery users, factories, maintenance departments, automotive-light repair users, small motor users, equipment manufacturers, appliance repair users, tool repair users, jig and fixture makers, metal fabricators, engineering companies, workshop users, hardware resellers and industrial customers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia, including Klang, Shah Alam, Puchong, Petaling Jaya, Subang, Port Klang, Balakong, Cheras, Kajang, Rawang, Semenyih, Ampang, Banting, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Seremban.
