Dome Head Blind Rivet

Dome Head Blind Rivet, also known as Dome Head Pop Rivet, Round Head Blind Rivet, Open End Dome Head Blind Rivet or Standard Blind Rivet, is a permanent fastening rivet used to join two or more materials together when access is available from one side only.

Unlike bolts and nuts, Dome Head Blind Rivet does not require access to the back side of the assembly during installation. The rivet is inserted into a pre-drilled hole and installed using a rivet tool. During installation, the rivet body expands on the blind side and clamps the materials together, creating a permanent fastening joint.

Dome Head Blind Rivet is commonly used in sheet metal fabrication, aluminium panels, steel panels, HVAC ducting, electrical enclosures, metal cabinets, machinery covers, signage, display frames, vehicle body work, trailers, containers and general industrial assembly.

Why Choose Our Dome Head Blind Rivet

Choosing the correct Dome Head Blind Rivet is important for grip range, hole fitment, clamping strength, material compatibility and long-term joint reliability. The rivet should match the rivet diameter, rivet length, grip range, hole size, material thickness, head style, application load and working environment.

Steel & Aluminium Dome Head Blind Rivet is a practical option for sheet metal assembly, aluminium panels, steel panels, HVAC ducting, electrical enclosures, cabinets, covers, brackets, display frames, signage, vehicle body repair and general industrial fastening applications.

The main advantage of a blind rivet is one-side installation. It is useful when the back side of the workpiece cannot be reached, such as enclosed panels, ducts, cabinets, hollow frames and equipment casings. This helps save installation time and makes the rivet suitable for production line work, workshop repair and maintenance replacement.

The dome head design gives a standard rounded head appearance and provides good surface contact for many general fastening applications. It is commonly selected when a neat external head finish and simple permanent fastening method are required.

Compared with screws and nuts, blind rivets create a permanent fastening joint and do not require nut access from the back. Compared with countersunk rivets, dome head rivets do not require a countersunk hole and are easier to use in many general panel applications.

For best performance, the rivet should be installed with the correct rivet tool and nosepiece. The hole size, material thickness and grip range should be checked before installation. For structural, lifting-related, high-vibration, safety-related or critical assemblies, rivet strength, joint design, material compatibility and installation method should be checked by a qualified person or project specification.
