Ferrule

Ferrule is a ceramic welding accessory used for drawn arc stud welding applications. It is placed around the base of the weld stud during welding to help contain the molten weld pool, control arc flash, support weld collar formation, and protect the welding area during the drawn arc stud welding process.

In drawn arc stud welding, the ferrule plays an important role in producing a cleaner and more consistent weld result. It helps concentrate and stabilise the arc, supports the molten metal around the stud base, and helps form the finished fillet weld collar after the stud is welded to the base material. After welding and cooling, the ferrule is normally broken away and removed from the completed weld.

Ferrules are commonly used together with drawn arc weld studs, threaded studs, shear connectors, arc studs, stud welding guns, ferrule grips, and drawn arc stud welding machines. They are suitable for steel fabrication, structural work, machinery bases, industrial panels, construction steelwork, shipyard work, bridge work, heavy equipment fabrication, and general metal welding applications.

Why Choose Our Ferrule

Choosing the correct Ferrule size and type is important for weld quality, weld collar formation, arc stability, and installation reliability. The ferrule must match the stud diameter, stud type, ferrule grip, welding gun setup, base material, and welding position. Incorrect ferrule selection may affect the weld appearance, weld pool control, and final fastening performance.

Our Ferrules for Drawn Arc Stud Welding are suitable for M6, M8, M10 and M12 stud welding applications. They are practical for users who work with threaded weld studs, arc studs, steel plates, machinery frames, equipment bases, structural steel components, and industrial metal fabrication.

Ferrules are small accessories, but they play a key role in the drawn arc welding process. A suitable ferrule helps create a more controlled welding environment around the stud base, supports molten metal containment, and helps form a neat weld collar. This is especially important for users who need consistent welding quality in production, project work, and maintenance applications.

We supply Ferrules for welding contractors, stud welding service teams, steel fabricators, structural steel contractors, machinery manufacturers, factories, maintenance departments, M&E contractors, engineering companies, shipyard users, equipment repair teams, hardware resellers, and industrial customers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia, including Klang, Shah Alam, Puchong, Petaling Jaya, Subang, Port Klang, Balakong, Cheras, Kajang, Rawang, Semenyih, Ampang, Banting, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Seremban.
